“Forgive our sins as we forgive,”
You taught us, Lord, to pray;
But You alone can grant us grace
To live the words we say.
2
How can Your pardon reach and bless
The unforgiving heart
That broods on wrongs and will not let
Old bitterness depart?
3
In blazing light Your cross reveals
The truth we dimly knew:
How trifling others’ debts to us;
How great our debt to You!
4
Lord, cleanse the depths within our souls
And bid resentment cease;
Then, by Your mercy reconciled,
Our lives will spread Your peace.

This is so true!
Dear heavely, and Most Gracious Father, Please! Grant us grace to live the words we say to you and others. The question ask, how can Your pardon reach and bless the unforgiving heart. That broods on wrongs and will not let old bitaterness depart? The only thing come to my mind is Your grace and mercy that reaches and blesses the heart which, cannot forgive at times. The cross of Jesus did reveal in blazing light the truth people barely knew. Yes, others indivual debts are trifling to us, but our debts to You is even greater. Please cleanse the debt with in our souls and stop the hatred we have toward each other. Your mercy has reconciled, so please let out lives spread Your peace forever and ever more. Praise God!!!
