1
Encamped along the hills of light,
Ye Christian soldiers, rise,
And press the battle ere the night
Shall veil the glowing skies.
Against the foe in vales below,
Let all our strength be hurled;
Faith is the victory, we know,
That overcomes the world.
Refrain
Faith is the victory!
Faith is the victory!
Oh, glorious victory
That overcomes the world.
2
His banner over us in love,
Our sword the Word of God;
We tread the road the saints above
With shouts of triumph trod.
By faith they, like whirlwind’s breath,
Swept on o’er ev’ry field;
The faith by which they conquered death
Is still our shining shield.
3
To him who overcomes the foe
White raiment shall be giv’n;
Before the angels he shall know
His name confessed in heav’n.
Then onward from the hills of light,
Our hearts with love aflame;
We’ll vanquish all the hosts of night,
In Jesus’ conq’ring name.

O glorious victory..Amen
Love if Jesus should not be refuted. It will be the biggest mistake anyone to do that because it is unexplainable from this hym .
my song
Amen what a wonderful song
Wonderful song
Amen!!!
So true and definitely my favorite
Happy Sabbath you all
Oh glorious victory the name above all names Jesus has wrought. Glory be to our God in whom we depend day by day
This is the second stanza for SDAs:
On every hand the foe we find
Drawn up in dread array;
Let tents of ease be left behind,
And onward to the fray.
Salvation’s helmet on each head,
With truth all girt about,
The earth shall tremble ’neath our tread,
And echo with our shout.
Because I believe the second stanza you have speaks of “saints above” contradicting our beliefs on the state of the dead
Thanks Marie for that.I have been wondering why I can’t see that stanza here
Thank you so much for adding the stanza. God richly bless you.
Thanks Marie for that clarification on why SDA might have omitted the 2nd stanza used here.
amen
@Marie. Thank you so much. You are right, that does contradict our beliefs.
What a powerful hymn
Amen
Happy to hear this song. Thanks and Happy Sabbath!
Happy Sabbath, God Bless
Amazing hymn tells us about the victory Jesus Christ has already won and the warning that the devil is out to get us every day. Thank You Christ Jesus
