1
Days are filled with sorrow and care,
Hearts are lonely and drear;
Burdens are lifted at Calvary,
Jesus is very near.
Refrain
Burdens are lifted at Calvary,
Calvary, Calvary,
Burdens are lifted at Calvary,
Jesus is very near.
2
Cast your care on Jesus today,
Leave your worry and fear;
Burdens are lifted at Calvary,
Jesus is very near.
3
Troubled soul, the Saviour can see,
Ev’ry heartache and tear;
Burdens are lifted at Calvary
Jesus is very near.

STRANGE, I found this hymn on the SDA website, titled Christian life…” Christians do NOT believe in sabbath worship. The SDA are not Christian as they worship the Old Testament Saturday (Sabbath) given to the nation of Israel and the Jew. Most of if not all the authors in the SDA hymnal are NOT SDA, but Christians that followed Christ and went to church on SUNDAY! Why would the SDA sing hymns that are written by Sunday going Christians? John. M. More was a British Baptist Minister that worshiped on Sunday. I hope the SDA are not making people think that these hymn writers agreed with SDA doctrine.
You are right about Sabbath. Question is,is God the same God in the Old Testament the same God in the New Testament?
It will be a tragedy trying to restrict Sabbath to the Old Testament as Jesus Christ, from whom Christians get their identity, observed and kept the Sabbath or is there somewhere in the scriptures Jesus edified Himself and failed to link His ministry to God,the very God who established the Sabbath?
My a Brother Jesus loves you and he wants you to obey the command He gave to the Jews in John 5:39 “Search the Scriptures” I’m am a born again Christian and I believe the WHOLE BIBLE. I was a Sunday keeper, a Methodist thinking I was right.
I searched the Scriptures and found the truth about the Sabbath.
Please note that Paul and the New Testament kept theSabbath after the resurrection.
Acts 13:42, 44; 17:2; 18:4; MK 6:2-3; LK 4:14
Paul and the New Testament Christians, my dear brother kept the a Sabbath. Check previous article
A good and Heart warming song
A very uplifting song. All problems are wiped out the very moment this song echoes my mind.
But the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:

God is the same yesterday, today and forever! When I was a child 40 years ago a Catholic priest told me truthfully that the Sabbath was changed by Constantine & Catholicism to Sunday because they have the God given right to do so. This however does not adhere to Gods commandment number 4 or Jesus life and death where He entered the synagogue on THE Sabbath to speak and rested in death on THE Sabbath day and rose on the first day of the week which is Sunday…see Luke 13:10 & Mark 1:21 & Mark 16:9 & John 20:1
amen
Yes,sabbath will event be celebrated in heaven with God and his people 66:1-8
In God every thing is posible!
God The Best
All praise to him

That is correct, the Sabbath is the 7th day, Saturday.
Sunday, the first day of the week, is the Lord’s Day –
for remembrance of Him, Worship of Him, His special day.
Even God rested from His labours on the 7th day of creating the world, animals, people.
And God rested on the 7th day.
That is, the Sabbath, the day of rest.
