\nO Wisdom from on high,

\na lantern to our footsteps,

\nreceived the gift divine,
\nand still that light is lifted
\no’er all the earth to shine.
\nIt is the sacred vessel
\nwhere gems of truth are stored;
\nit is the heaven-drawn picture
